Mission Statement

Established in 1995, the Center aims to address problems associated with the design, manufacture, and behavior of composites. This task includes the training of students through sponsored research projects and through course instruction. The Center involves faculty from different departments within the Viterbi School of Engineering. Additional expertise is applied through USC’s Postdoctoral Fellow Program, which attracts outstanding scholars with specialized skills to match the requirements of sponsored projects. Center personnel work closely with industrial sponsors, and recent industrial collaborations have involved M.C. Gill Corporation, Airbus, Raytheon, Composite Technology Corporation, HRL Laboratories, Cytec, L'Garde Corporation, Bell Helicopter, and Northrop-Grumman.
