The Mork Family Department of Chemical Engineering & Materials Science hosted its annual welcome event for new and returning students on September 13 2019, at 10:30am.
Staff, faculty members and students gathered for presentations in the department before a lunch was served in the EQuad. The event featured special guest alumnus John Mork, member of the USC Board of Trustees. In 2005, Mork and his wife, Julie, donated $15 million to name the Mork Family Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science. Their generous gift to USC of $110 million in 2011 launched the Mork Family Scholars Program.
