Chair of the Mork Family Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science
The Mork Family Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at the University of Southern California is seeking applications and nominations for the position of Department Chair. Competitive candidates will have an outstanding record of scholarly and technical achievements, a strong commitment to engineering education, effective management and interpersonal skills, and must be eligible for appointment at the full professor level. A Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field, is required.
We seek visionary individuals who will lead the department into the 2020s and guide the further development of our research and educational missions while maintaining their own strong, externally funded, research program. The position of Chair includes administrative responsibilities and requires active engagement with leadership at the School and University.

The USC Viterbi School of Engineering is among the top tier engineering schools in the world. Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science
We invite applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in the Mork Family Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science in the USC Viterbi School of Engineering. We seek outstanding faculty candidates in all areas of chemical engineering, with an emphasis in soft matter. The position is available starting August 16, 2019. Candidates should apply at USC Careers. Applicants must have earned a Ph.D., or equivalent degree, by the beginning of the appointment. A postdoctoral opportunity is currently available in machine learning with application to dynamic subsurface imaging in the Viterbi School of Engineering. Individuals with a Ph.D. computer science, electrical engineering, or applied math are particularly encouraged to apply. Applicants with a strong mathematical background who completed their Ph.D. in other engineering disciplines will also be considered.
